Do I need a structural engineer for removing a wall or a loft conversion?+
If the wall is load-bearing, or the roof structure changes, Building Control will expect structural calculations and drawings from an engineer. We confirm what is needed on the first call and quote a fixed fee.
How quickly can you provide beam calculations?+
For a straightforward beam or wall removal we can usually survey within days and issue calculations and drawings shortly after. Larger projects are programmed with you.
Do you take over projects started by another engineer or team?+
Yes. We review the existing drawings, survey what has been built, and pick the project up from there with a clear scope for what remains.
Where do you work?+
We are based in London and carry out surveys and site visits across the UK. Design and analysis work can be delivered remotely anywhere.
